i have to detail a set of deep six fuchs wheels.
have you please got some pictures of original ones where i can see where to stop black lines?

| that is an interesting question. it is my belief that after the original run of very early 4-1/2" wheels, they were partially submerged in paint to a specific depth, to achieve uniform coverage, then removed to dry. the pockets under the spokes, where the part # is, trapped air and did not receive paint. you will notice that on unmolested wheels that the level of the paint on the outer lip is consistent with level of the paint on the spokes on normal production wheels. it's difficult to explain, and i hope this description makes sense |
