| Does anybody know if they all came with that little hole towards the bottom of the housings. I have a set of tailights and only 1 of them has it and the 1 that has it is'nt stamped VW at the bottom and the 1 that is stamped VW dont have the drain hole :? |

| Mines are NOS and they have the hole and the VW logo stamp. |

| The drain holes are '54. '52 and '53 "hearts" did not have holes. |

| I agree with Bob. I added drain holes to a set I had without them. Eventually if it has no drain hole it will have a rust hole |

| The drain holes were added on 18 October 1954, so all the US-market '54s with heart lights and only the first batch of egg lights came without them. |

All heart tail lights before October of '54 came WITHOUT drain holes. (Hearts with the holes were produced for non-US spec cars up through August of '55) |
