I'm a little slow to post (been without internet for a few months) but anyway

This is my 1980 Honda CB750-F SuperSport.

I love it although it doesn't want to run right now... seems to be having a compression issue... I know, it's not a cafe racer, but a lot of guys do like to turn the 750's into stuff of that sort.

Thanks, guys!!! Well, my wife bought me the bike for christmas and was supposed to be a part time hobby/project. with the gas prices being crazy I figured I didn't want to ride this............

It was a barn find from South Dakota which was used to hurd cattle. The last time it was ridden and registered was in 1988. With 1800 original miles.

It's a '73 CL350 Twin. Stock carbs. just cleaned and new plugs and oil change and it fired right up. I'll probably get an engine overhaul this winter.

The original jets at 5,000+ft. elevation. I also ran my wires through the bars and frame.

Wow, that 73 CL looks nice...Ive been trying to get an old Honda to make a cafe' or some kina bobber out of it. I seen a very nice 750 four with a bobber treatment. A guy down the street has a 750 just sitting in his garage but he hasnt given me a straight answer as to what he is going to do with it...Ive been buggin him about it for over a year now.
Has anyone checked out the 89/90 honda GB 500...I wouldnt mind having one of those either. I did find one but they wanted 4700 for it, I need a much lower price if Im going to get a bike.

The GB500 is a nice machine no doubt, kinda rare from what i understand so probably not an ideal candidate to cut your motorcycle teeth on. There one on eGay now for $5k.

If you dig the look building a Honda twin like it would not be difficult (and significantly cheaper)...

Rich, the 73 bobber is certainly cool...thats something that I would like to build. You do some really nice work...very impressed.

I have a few CL and SL350s, (6 I think) and two CB400 Supersports. One CL was my daily rider until the circlip holding the cap on the oil filter broke a couple weeks ago. It's original engine is in the middle of an over haul, so It won't be on the road until probably the end of summer.

The CB400Fs were given to me as parts bikes. One is being turned into a cafe racer, but the other has a bent frame and will remain a parts bike. I have the engine all torn down and I'm polishing whatever I can. It's going to take quite a while, but it's going to be sweet!
