I have a 55 Oval that needs a new front clip, I have found a 59 donor car. I will clip it from the middle of the gas tank forward. Are there any noticible differences in the two stampings? I don't have both cars at the same place to look and I don't want to cut the 59 before I know.
Any help is appreciated. |

Yes.
The flat area where the body tag is is different. A 59 clip will have one additional horizontal rib stamped into it. The ways to deal with that are obvious and not to difficult with the clip off the car. My clip had that. I cut the rib out. |
