I thought PBR stands for Professional Bull Riders.

It does for now. I'm still waiting for the lawsuit. If The World Wildlife Fund can defeat the World Wresting Federation over WWF, than Pabst Blue Ribbon should be a slam-dunk win over the Pro Bull Riders.

Oh goodness. I thought by the title of the thread something had happened to Jake.

C'mon guys, it's the thought of the Beer Can coffin that counts....

And PBR is good beer, you're in denial!

localboy Mon May 05, 2008 9:07 pm

 Never had it. No offense meant Dave. I don't drink Bud or Bud Light or Coors etc either.

When I read the title I seriously thought someone got killed by one of them 2000 lb bulls. Those bull riders are f'in crazy and have my respect, even if they are nuts. I can't imagine.

It's just a standard low end casket with some vinyl wrap. I could do the same thing for under 2K retail. Hell, I'll do a VW themed casket and include spoon handles for the locks and some skylights and a ragtop.

I drank PBR when I was underage because that's what I could get. That was the early 70's. I have not seen it around since then. I assumed the brewery was out of business due to it's product's essential nastiness

Oh no, PBR is now "in vogue." Why, I'm not sure. Kinda like Rolling Rock - that was the cheap swill we'd buy when we were kids but it got so popular - due mainly to its green bottles - the Anheuser-Busch bought it up.

I still like the country song, "Red Neck, White Socks and Blue Ribbon Beer."

Can I get mine with corner glass too...like a 23 window? Just kidding. I told my wife: BBQ me and spread my ashes out at my fav surf spot back home. 8)

Me too for a second. Jake has a really cool PBR bus. I find something new I like each time I see the bus at our meetings. He has a great RCA bus too. Jake and his toys..... if you only knew.

I like it--super cold on a very hot day. Price is right.
I brew my own for everything else.

I think you're on to something Vanhag, might be a lucrative business around these parts...You should have a display set up at the VW Classic, or any other car show for that matter, I'm sure you'd have some bites.

Right on.

I don't know if you other guys are beer snobs, comparing it to high-end craft brews, but here's a secret: PBR is better than most of the popular national brands. It's got more body, and a nice a little hoppy aftertaste.

You think Miller and Bud spend more money on the actual product than Pabst? The higher price you pay all goes for advertising, to give the psychopathic semiliterate athletes you watch on TV their millions.

I like a nice $8-per-six-pack beer now and then, but for everyday, I'd rather pay a fair price for PBR and not give my hard-earned money to Michael Vick and Terrell Owens.

Life is too short to drink cheap (shitty) beer.
