OK. these places do NOT carry them anymore due to manufacturer discontinuing production...
1. So Cal IMports
2. CP1
3. West Coast Metric
4. The Thing Shop

Is there any other companies out there that make a complete Harness for this "Thing"?

A previous owner used household extension cord wire on it! And nothing is working, other than it running fine!

I think this is the only Thing harness I've come across online before, looks like it's out of stock though:

There is a company in San Pedro, CA. that sells a wire harness for a Thing. I think it was called Wireworks, but I'm not sure.

Try German Motorworks... http://www.thingsforthething.com/
If you do a search for wiring harness it says "call for pricing"...maybe they have?! Keep us posted.

I make my own. I just ordered wiring for my second car and will start running the wire in the next couple of days.
You can order several different colors and sizes from this place:

Well.. wire works has them.. $650!!! IS that crazy? Or is it just me...

- - - Try "Wiring Works" instead @ 310-519-8147 in San Pedro CA.
I have installed several of their VW kits and they are awesome!!! Also the Thing kit should be about $250, however you will have to use your column plugs, ie wiper, turn signal.

My neighbor has one he just wants to give away. I don't need it or I would take it mayself. He says it has a few cut wires but is otherwise in great shape. Let me know.
