I have a friend with a Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz 1983. He wants to sell it to me. I want it. It is in good condition and it runs. What do you think that I should pay him? It is black with red upholstery.

If you pay $3, you're getting ripped off.

I got to look at a black/red interior '59 Biarritz Convertible a few weeks ago. Less than 1000 miles on it. Mint. I think he paid about 100k for it a few years back.

Oh

'83? Never mind

No Lee., that's way too much, I wouldn't pay much over $2756.07

He wants to sell it to you? Do you want to buy it? That should be the real question.

$1600 on eBay for a 52,000 mile car.

What is this, the freaking all star thread?

I thought the 83 was the worst caddy ever motor wise

I would go for the Seville instead. Way better looking car.

I had an 83 Seville, and I liked it a lot. Only problem was endless trouble with the auto leveling rear suspension, and I got tired of throwing money at that and just disabled it. Like paxilill said, the engine was supposed to be crap and trouble after 100,000, but mine never caused me any grief. A deer totaled mine, and I was sorry to see it go.

that and someone dropped a boulder on the back of that car.

Hopefully it has the V8/6/4 option to make even less desireable.

Major Woody Wed May 14, 2008 9:55 am

Yuck. $20, but only if it has a full tank of gas.

In my opinion, just keep your eyes open for a good Cimmaron. Better mileage and not quite as big of a piece as the Biarritz.

The OP is asking about a rebadged Buick, and you're recommending a rebadged Cavalier. You people kill me.

I just wanted to know what you think it should cost. I know that the car has very bad engine reliability I am thinking of swapping out the engine.

he should pay you to take that car off your hands.

I wouldn't give $7.50 for it.
