anyone know anything about 'em? anyone know of any online resources like the samba for them?
ive been drafted to clean and detail one and give it a once over in lue of selling it. and i know jack about them. im not sure of the year or anything about this car, but the lady who owns it really needs some help right now. i will be getting more details in the next few days.
the car looks similar to this one, body lines wise. the car in question is a bit rough and is a project for sure, it runs though.
but like i said i know absolutly nothing about 'em. |

My granfather bought one after the War. They are a predecessor to the MG, MG being Morris Garage rather than Morris minor. More here...

Actually MG started in 1922, originally modifying Morris Motor Cars, ultimately to produce sporting versions of these cars.
Independant British makes like, Morris, Austin, Austin-Healey, Riley, MG, and Wolseley were eventually bought out and amalgamated under BMC (British Motor Corporation) in the early 1950s.
The Morris Minor was the first UK big selling, post war family car, designed by Alec Issigonis who's best known for designing the Mini. |

I guess it doesn't much matter. With Lucas electrics you're gonna have a fire regardless. |

Is this perhaps the beginning of the fine reputation the UK has for it's electrical engineering? |

Check out the newest isue of Rod and Custom Magazine, there is a Morris Minor that the guy stuck a stroker small block Chevy in it, drove it from Medford, OR, to Bonneville, raced it, and drove it home.
BTW, his brother in Medford is the guy who used to put on the OR Bug-In back when... |

| You might check into the car a bit before assuming it's a positive ground. If the motor has been replaced with a newer MG engine, it could be negative ground. A friend of mine bought a 1955 Morris Traveler that had the engine replaced and it had a negative ground. All the wiring was screwed up as far as + - :x |

I have heard that Lucas electrical wire dosen't accually contain copper, it is just rubber tubes filled with smoke that gets released once it gets a charge. |
