Do you want the whole car to be covered in rust? If so just sandblast it let it rust and put a flat clear coat on it.

Just paint it and scuff it up with 2000 or 2500 grit wet sandpaper to dull the finish. It will look old.

If you use brown primer under the paint and then scuff it or use some paint remover, you might get the appearance youre looking for. just play around on something else first to see how it turns out.

NEGATIVE, That is real Rust and it will continue to rust the car underneath.
Rustoleum sells a textured rusty looking paint, for outdoor use.
Prime the car paint the areas you like and call it a day.
As a matter of fact rustoleum sells and indoor/outdoor rust kit.
Check their site. |

Different rust coloured paints applied with a sponge--faux finish style.
