I burn wood in my yard, my workvan gets 12 miles to a gallon, I use clorox and throw away plastic grocery bags...... My score is 99.99999999

7.72, most of the suggestions are either ridiculous or things that I am already doing. I'm not sure why anyone would want to invest another $50k in making a home more energy efficient, when the the value has dropped 20% in the last 2 years, not a very good ROI.

Why should I spend $28k on a hybrid when I have a "paid for" car. I'll be dead before I can save enough on fuel to make it worthwhile.

Let's put a little common sense ahead of "going green".

Sadly, the lemmings of the Green Movement will hear no such crazy talk in your closing statement.

this thread is a repost. maybe from the days of yore in the rants, but this was definitely bored, um, i mean beat to death already.

This is bullshit. I'm only at 4.43 earths but I think this program fails to caclulate the fact that we aren't using the earth we have to it's fullest yet. There are plenty of resources available if only we used them properly.

There is no way this earth is crowded. I've got miles and miles of vacant land we could farm.

If everyone on the planet lived my lifestyle, we would need

Way more lube. Like 4.5 earth sized bottles.

4.9 Earths

What kind of work-load and what kind of pay-off do the farmers see? They used to get paid more to leave fields fallow sometimes. And, there is no arguing that it isn't an easy job by any stretch of the imagination. Even as a freaking hobby, it can occupy most of your free time to get back an even amount of cost to benefit.

ACtyp3 Tue May 27, 2008 2:53 pm

5.1 earths

Major Woody Tue May 27, 2008 3:54 pm

5.95. I found the quiz interesting.
I have a longer commute and kind of a big house to heat and cool.

We all need to care.

If everyone on the planet lived my lifestyle, we would need

5.7 earths. However, God gave us 3rd world countries for a reason... to balance it all out.
