Yea... those doors were already shaved and suicided. After welding the latch and hinges back in the right way, i decided i worked on them long enough.

... I was wondering too how many pieces of different bodies have gone into this project. Surely no-one would cut up a perfectly good split :wink:

Does the back piece pull off so you can get at the engine? How does it get air for cooling?

That is cool as hell. Ill take one if I can fit in it. Very good work. So if you shaved the handles you gonna go low? Makes for easier loading in the rear! :lol:

The oval was rusty so i used a 65 and grafted on the roof, window and dash section from the oval.
The only split part i used was a rear apron from a 52.
The engine lid lifts up through the type 3 style opening in the bed...i dont know how the factory did it.
The cover has a 2'' gap on the top under the bed for air flow.
... pan scraping low...

I wonder what the originals had for a rear suspension. That can hold a lot of mailbags.

looks like a fun project! Glad to see more unique projects like this instead of another heb replica. Though nothing wrong with heb replicas by any means, just that there's tons of other rares and one-offs I'd like to see redone too
