Nice!

guzziguy Tue Jun 10, 2008 6:26 pm

That was fast! I am another wisher of it being raised on knobbies. That would be super cool!

I do love it though. You guys do amazing work. I want a Rieschpost, or one of these.

Slowlow Tue Jun 10, 2008 6:35 pm

Definately cool as hell!

buggen Tue Jun 10, 2008 10:46 pm

I have to say it was one of my favorite cars at the Classic.

Clark Kustoms Tue Jun 10, 2008 11:32 pm

I like the lifted w/ nd tread. But this being a copy
i thought lowered was the way to go because a real one would not be lowered.
...the seats are super comfortable... WallMarts best lawn chairs.

Hey Chris, how long did it take you to create this masterpiece?

Clark Kustoms Sat Jun 14, 2008 7:14 am

This car took about 2and a half months to build from the pan up.
In fact, i painted it 5 days before the Classic.

Well my freinds Kevin (with the tripple cab) and my freind Brain
(with the Lil Green Meanie) helped for a few days. Thats about it.
I did have help from the local vw shops on the parts.
The Wagen, Classic Vdubs and Nevada Off Road. Thanks guys.

Desided REICHSPOST logo would be better.
It means RELM POST OFFICE.

I actually like it lowered. (...the temp just dropped 100 degrees in Hell). Really. I think it was my favorite car at the Classic also. As stated before, it was truly something new. Everything else there, and I mean everything, is warmed over tricks and treatments. Not to say some nicely done, but nothing "new". The KDF cues, the ingenious metal work, the simplicity, the flat paint, Wal Mart chairs made to fit perfectly into the theme. THAT is a car that "raised the bar".

I do however think that the faint "Geistpost" lettering was the icing on the cake. Gave the car a real mystique.

Again, very nice work (from a vintage purist from hell) Clark...

I have been following the build up of this car and I have to say I love it. You did amazing work. Cant wait to see what you come up with next. Very well done.

Splitdog Wed Jun 18, 2008 11:24 am

It is very cool. Put in an old-style window looking into the back.

Slowlow Wed Jun 18, 2008 6:17 pm

Put a heart shaped bubble window between the box and the "cab".
