| Flew into Denver once, on my way to Evergreen. We saw Breckinridge (sp?), Red Rocks ampitheater, old mining cabins, the Continental Divide at Loveland Pass, dinosaur fossils ....absolutely stunning country out there. I'll look for some pics later. |

| My one and only visit I was shocked at how dirty the air looked. There seemed to be a lot of smog in the city, being held in by all the mountains that formed a bowl. |

What part of Denver are you moving to? There is always good food & bars downtown if you want to fight the crowds. |

| Look up Kelly Grose when you get there. She can probably set you up with a great deal on a house, or at least sound financial planning advice. |

Lived there for 7 years (Capital Hill) and I never had a chance to use the light rail til' this last spring. We took it to a Nuggets game one night then to the Comedy Club the next night. I dig Denver but I froze my ass off waiting for the train.
I don't miss that. |

Yeah, Denver sits in a bowl-like formation so the smog stays around. I have also heard that like 50% of it is dust from the gravel that we put on the roads during the winter but that sounds like BS to me. |

From all I read in the papers, Denver is a great place to buy repo homes right now. I read where there was sudivison not far from the airport that had over 40% of the homes repo'd and up for sale. |

high cost of living...may be due to the 10 to 1 women/men ratio...
I was stationed at Lowry Air Force Base in the 80's...went to a club called "Mardi Gras" and all you could see were a handful of happy dudes in a sea of women...Those were the days... |
