I guess the competition is so great that the delivery girls are trying to run each other off the road! I heard a screech and a big old thump out in front of my building and went out to inspect. Apparently the Napa girl rear-ended the Carquest girl.

from the dykish-looks of them it was deliberate - a ploy to exchange phone #s |

Looks like you left your cap on top of the NAPA truck. |

I love the name of the place across the street!
EDIT: Hell there is a collision center across the street too. I bet they don't use their own parts to fix the trucks! |

I was thinking about how familiar that street looked...then it took me a good 5 minutes to realize youre in Spokane.
I saw a FedEx truck bump into a UPS truck in front of the FedEx-Kinkos on Sullivan. I was hoping for it to be something more epic...but the FedEx truck just kind of nudged the UPS truck... Damn. |

That's the only funny "TJ's got a big head" joke I've heard in a long time. |

| Neither one of those parts girls would make it here. If she isn't wearing shorts and a top like she's a Hooters Girl she might as well not bother in this market. |

I like Napa but Carquest was really good price-wise. When I went into the store more often they came to recognize me and offered pretty good discounts. I bought Dupont Nason Primer, Paint and activator for under $200 last year. They charged me way below invoice on parts for the Olds 88, too.
I would take Napa and Carquest over Auto Bone any day of the week. We don't have Pep Boys , so I have no idea about them. In the business it seems there are stores that sell parts and then stores that attempt to sell parts, but are really only concerned with selling oil, filters, additives, fuzzy dice, and Nascar branded bric-a-brac.
Every time I look for Olds parts at Auto Bone their prices for aftermarket are the same as I pay for genuine GM parts at www.gmpartsdirect.com
Auto Bone had this program where if you spend $20 or more they credit this card, and when you accumulate ten $20 sales you get a gift certificate. I found out that they were negating the credits if you didn't shop there regularly. I went in expecting the reward and they were like, "You only have one transaction credited"
Before they used simple punch card that never expired.
The other day I went into Auto Bone to buy oil and the cashier asked, "Would you like to participate in our rewards program?
I replied by telling her how the company screwed me out of past credits. She and the other cashier laughed and were like, "Yeah, they really suck, huh? " It made my day to see such honest employees. |

| Autozone is better than Pep Boys here. Napa and Carquest are decent as well, but I always rely on ACME. They're small and perhaps a bit more expensive than Carquest, but they always know what I'm looking for and can usually get it for me next day at the worst. |

Really? When they get the wrong parts 3 times, they will know how mechanics feel... 8) |
