Hi,
I probably have a faulty contact in the hornbutton of my Split. I would like to open it, but I am afraid to break the Bakelite ring. Any way to do this without breaking the ring?
Another question, on the batwing steering wheel, should the wing part be looking up or down?

The button can be pried out of the wheel, use a wide putty knife to avoid putting too much localized stress on the housing edge.
The ribbing on the wheel faces down when in the straight-ahead position.... |
