Having idle problems with my 92 cabriolet. Idles up and down and then sometimes smooths out for a few minutes and then starts idling up and down. Anyone know what might be causing this ? |

if you have a didifant system, it is going in limp home mode, and could be a # of problems
do you have a bentley repair book? |

| My 92 did this also. Just clean out your ISV and check for vacuum lines. The isv is located on top of your valve cover and is held on by a rubber fixture. It should say VDO on it and has a connector coming out the back of it on the left side. It's connected to the intake boot and PCV valve. Take the isv off and clean the inside with WD40. Dont use break kleen or carb cleaner. You will eat the seals out inside and you will be out 220 bucks. Install and drive mind free of problems. |
