| Resurrecting this, Any one know how the R&D went? I have thought about someone using an old VW under dash A/C unit and run ice water thru instead of refrigerant. Just need to keep the evaporator cool. No engine strain, no hose routing, just fill a cooler, (thats probably all ready on board), and run a small pump, I bet it would work. |

| Stashing a cooler behind the back seat sounds very do- able then just put the controls in one of the rear kick panels under the back seat.As for the pump. Why not use a cheap electric fuel pump?12 volt and designed to run for long periods of time.Speaker tray will hide everything but the vents.Plus you can use bigger blocks of ice and incorporate an exterior drain with the addition of a few brass fittings a valve and a little hose. |

| if youre going to all the trouble of drilling holes under your dash, why not just get a real a/c? |

Looks like it hooks up to a shirt the driver wears. What about the passengers? |
