Hello all. I have gone through most pages of these forums and found most of the info I was looking for, but still have some questions. Hopefully some of the purists can help me out. I have recently aqquired a split window bug from a friend, but have found that it is an orignal 1954 with a split window 3 fold rag clip grafted onto the car. The questions I have is what are the main differences between the sheet metal on a 54 oval compared to a 51 or 52 split(pre zwitter). From what I can tell the front and rear aprons are the same from 55 down. But im not sure what the difference between the following;
floor pans
luggage area
seat frames
Or if there are even some differences in body panels I have left out. Any help would be appreciated as I sort out this mess, I would love to get it looking as close to a split as possible.

Not much of a friend, if he representedas as a real split. Hopefully if you bring it closer to looking like a split, you'll disclose it to the next person!
