Just picked this up. Strong running 1500. This is my first bug but I also have a bus I've been working on. Just wanted to share with everyone and introduce myself to a different part of the VW crowd. =)

| I am partial to '63s. Very nice :wink: ! Is it an early '63 (does it have the Wolfsburg crest down by the hood handle? Also, what bus do have? (You need to establish a Gallery :) ) |

| Yeah its an early 63 and does have them emblems. Almost everything is there. I'm getting mixed reviews from friends about the whitewalls and rack but I think it looks cool as hell just like it is. I have a 58 standard bus (project thread in the split bus forum). |

I’m always looking for the brother/sister of my 1963.
Which was built, May 24th 1963 it left the factory on
May 30th 1963 and arrived at Oliver Imported Cars in Berkeley California a few weeks later.
It was purchased in August of 1963. My 63 does not have an emblem so yours must have been made earlier then May 63.
The VIN number is 5559673, what VIN number is your 63?

Interesting and pretty close, my VW was made 174,058 after yours.
Do you have any history on yours like the port it was imported through or dealership information? |
