my 88 chevy halfton with a 5.7 liter v8 has 323,000 miles and its had a starter, an alternator, a radiator and a transmission rebuild since it was new. it still goes strong and passes smog with flying colors. the only reason it needed a transmissoin rebuild was because water got inside and rusted it (which explains the new radiator)
