Hello-
I spoke to my machinist last week about building an Okrasa motor (my $200 heads will need work, but are salvageable.) :) He opined that the Zenith 32 ndix carbs are much better than the Solex 32pbic's. This raises two questions. First, if I'm building a non-stock motor, will the re-sale be impacted that much if I have custom manifolds and later model Porsche carbs vs. the more correct Okrasa (style?) manifolds and Solex carbs? Second, how hard is it to screw up a custom manifold? I've been reading about porting and polishing lately and I'm wondering how important it is to use a flow bench while making them.
Thanks,
Paul |

Hi .... I thought about using the zenith Carbs. later on for at double carb. setup, but an old vw guy told me that it was´nt the best idea. He said that it took a lot of work adjusting them, and furthermore the had a tendensy to "flow over" when taking sharp corners. I dont know if this is true, if anyone knows more abouth the zenith setup i am very interested
Best Regards
Claus

Hello-
I spoke with my machinist about this issue again. He told my that the Zenith carbs would be too big for the heads (1300 Okrasa) I'm going to use.
