Picked up this beetle in November, barn find. Worked on it all winter - interior, suspension, engine, accessories, etc. etc. Couldnt have done it without Samba. Thanks all!

Can you possibly resize those pictures?

Their large size will be a problem with people on slow connections.

was working on that as you posted..thanks!

Yeah, they're loading pretty slow here at work. I'm worried my boss will catch me riding the Samba.

Good looking car! This has helped inspire me to get started on a 73 standard that has been sitting in my mother-in-law's garage for years.

they should be small now @300k each :)

Also ordered the birth certificate which listed the dealership in Los Angeles. Would like to know how it ended up in New England in a barn. Two small spots of rust about an inch in diameter was all it had. Lots of fine sand and dust in all the nooks and crannies...

Very nice looking. I like the bumpers and the rack.

Nice looking car. Are you planning to take it to Litchfield, CT this Sunday?

curtp07 Tue Jun 10, 2008 1:05 pm

It's a 74, was an older paint job. The original color was Marina Blue which is still evident where the paint has flaked in some of the underhood areas. The rack is from CIP - a Flat 4. The bumpers were from Mid-America. The carpet is from JC Whitney. I've been educating myself as I've gone along with the various vendors. Samba has been an amazing resource.

Since getting it all sorted out Im still nervous about going too far. Need some more test runs. What's going on there?

EMPIImp69 Tue Jun 10, 2008 1:17 pm

Big VW show there this weekend.

2002sportside Tue Jun 10, 2008 1:37 pm

The show is worth it even if you don't take the bug. One of the best vw swap meets in our area too. Litchfield and Terryville later in the summer, they are both good shows.

That is a clean looking ride!
