| i have been having a problem with my batt. going dead while the car isnt running on my 81 caddy diesel. i know there is a draw somewhere in the system but has anyone had the same problem? |

Well, the standard test for not-running current draws is to hook an ammeter between the battery and the battery cable and see what it's drawing, then start pulling fuses until the draw drops, that'll be the circuit involved.
I'd also make sure you are getting a good ground connection between the alternator and the battery, it might not be taking as good a charge as it could be. |

| yeah i ran that test today and it turned out that i had a small draw in the rad. fan circut. then after i had pulled all fuse and electrical plugs i pulled the plug off the alternator and all the draw went away. so now i guess i have to get a new one. |
