It would be the same as the 15's $400.for a set of two. It is the same amount of work in machining and welding.
14's would look cool to. If you have a narrowed beam or need a little more clearance or you just like the look this seams like a usable fix.
Also I can not weld through chrome or even strip it. just in case any one was going to ask. |

Out of the 6 wheels I had dropped of at Al Reeds the only 2 "true" ones were the 2 I had made. My OG 4.5's and deep 6's needed work.
Still waiting to hear about the chrome work, but at least people know the welding / machining is straight. |

Where are you gonna get tires that narrow for a 16" wheel? Some old bias plys with a 2" wide white? That would look stupid. |

Was thinking the same.....there's doesn't seem to be the same amount of tyre (tire) choice for 16" wheels. Narrowest I've seen is a 175. |

| This was taken from the 16" post. I have also discovered that a Lotus Elise comes with a 175/55/16 front tire. that may be perfect. Available at tire rack Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07 for lotus @ $194.ea |

| Did you get the narrowed wheels back yet?? I'd have to assume that someone has undertaken this type of narrowing in the past.. It's a pretty obvious modification.. |

The king crabs are finally polished. Came out of retirement to polish my own rims (forgot how much work was involved).

| Sweeeeet! What are they going on? Did you have any problems with the welded area? Any undercut of the welds or too high/low? I'm just wondering for future projects since I don't polish them myself, I wonder about these things. Last but not least post pictures when they are on the car. |

They look great!
Do you have a 4.5 to sit next to it to see the difference? Or if you don't just have one of those lying round, an original deep 6? |

No problems with the welded area. Grinding and blending the welds just takes time (machined the perfect amount off of the welds). "Flyinglow94" did an awesome job on my wheels. |

Here's one of mine next to a 4.5
Mine are taking a while longer to get back since they are getting chromed.
I'll post some nice detailed shots once I get them.

Last Saturday when I was at Al's shop they had just got back from being chromed. Not polished yet though so I left them. I should have them soon.
Al cleaned up the welds pretty good on the face of the wheel. |

Back from chrome and everything looks great!
Sorry no pictures of the face, I was too busy getting pictures of the popped spokes.
Bring your wallet though if you're going to pay to have them chromed.
I paid dearly to have the welds cleaned up and have them chromed.
Definitely not cheap. |
