I would like to change the color of my factory 56 wheel from Ivory to a bright white. Anyone have any ideas on how this can be done?
Thanks. |

I was going to suggest liquid paper.
This thread shows how it was done (not to white, but you get the idea) and has links to other associated info: http://www.melburgluft.com/viewtopic.php?t=668

| Per Wolfsburg West, they suggest using a paint with a flex agent in it (they had mentioned Duplicolor by name.) I already bought a couple cans of WW Silver Beige for my seat frames and painted my steering wheel with it. Came out real nice, but its only been on a couple months and 1000 miles. |

I suggest that you use a urethane paint with a hardener for durable finish that will last.
The rattle can paint will eventually wear off.
You will find yourself painting the steering wheel again sometime down the road.
If you use the urethane paint be sure to wear a good respirator when you paint. |
