Well I was surfing the web today and was on ebay and came across this vert.
Funny thing was this same vert use to belong to me I had sold it almost two years ago to a guy in North Carolina. The guy I sold it to had to sell it for some personel reason. The guy that I just bought it ended up bringing it back to Alabama. I couldnt believe it make it back just a hr from me.

I had to sell it for money reason when I got rid of it and had always wished I had never gotten rid of it. So I guess it ended back here for me to find it again for a reason. I was not looking to buy just window shopping but knew I could not past it up with it being so close to my house.

This car sat in a garage for more than 20 yrs when I found it. The PO had started taking it apart to restore but never started on it. The vert is supper solid and is complete. When I sold it I had never cranked the motor but the guy I purchased it from said he got it running now.

Im going to pick it up by Tuesday and it wont be leaving this time.

Pictures are from when I had it. Its still looks the same today but its running.

Looks good and solid bro and i remember when you had it back in the days. Good luck with it and whats the your plans for it???

Thanks bro..Yes it super solid that why I hated having to get rid of it when I did. You know what a savings it is not to have to do rust repair.
Plans are to build a nice show car out of it.. Going to start collecting some nice parts for it and keep watching the Folks forum for some nice ideas and motivations for my car.

Hope you got a huge bottle of aspirins cos that's what it takes to assemble a vert!

Is that the one dave payne had for sale a while ago? That's a solid car

vintagevolks Sun Jun 15, 2008 7:27 pm

Nope...I had this one before the one Dave had for sale..This one was in a garage in Virginia when I found it and still owned by the original owner..

I don't think there is any feeling like driving a pre-68 vert beetle 8)

It is in it's new home now.

Don't expect much to get done to it real soon. I will be collecting parts while I finish the 64 hardtop for my son. Then, I will start on the vert.

Thanks Bob!!
