i am looking to do a rear disc brake conversion on my 81 caddy and i was wondering if anyone maybe had the parts for it that might wont to get rid of or know where i can find the parts. Thanks

You do know that the performance is negligible right? Trucks had the best/biggest drum brakes available for the A1 chassis and a disc conversion would actually be a step down. I agree they look prettier. No park brake cable available though (too long a distance). Scirocco 16V parts are what people use but you may need to come up with cables on your own.

if you really want to do the disc swap you can get the parts off any mk1, 2 or 3 (aside from vr)... all the spindles, discs, carriers are all the same size for every car with discs in every year. you'll also need proportioning valves

I have a B3 passat 16V that I was thinking to pull the brake parts off of. does anyone know if that will work? that would include all related parts in the rear, such as the stub axles.

I would need to go 14" wheels for the Passat Fronts. not going to swap. still might do the rears.
