HI there. I have never posted to the paint/body forum, so please bear with me.

I was under my '70 Beetle sedan today, and I noticed the beginning of a hole on the front of the driver's side floor pan. W hile installing some speaker panels up front and pulling the rug up two days ago, I noticed some rust behind the pedals, and managed to get under today. I don't think I have a full-blown hole yet, but it's definitely in the making. Can someone tell me the most effective way to fix this without spending more than the car is worth? Is there a particular piece I should get to "patch" the problem rather than the entire floor pan? It's not a show car, but I would like it to last. Thank you.

pictures would help. stop the rust before it becomes a bigger problem. options include welding in patch panel, and por15, rust bullet, master series paints to name a few. I am not sure the extent of the damage? Is there a hole developing on your front firewall? Also, patch the hole in the floorpan. Use rust proof paint or rust encapsulating paint to protect from further rust and stop existing rust on pans.

Agian, any pictures?
