"In the words of my generation....... UP YOURS!!!"

I was disappointed to see the low class of the Boston fans as they sang the "na-na-na-na, good-bye" chant with about 6-7 minutes to go. Not a few, but the whole crowd. The only thing worse than a sore loser is a sore winner.

Congrats to the Boston players, pity on the fans.

Go ahead and TRY to repeat next year when the Lakers get their injured center (Bynam) back, and Gasol goes back to his regular position. The young Laker team will be strong for years to come. And the fans will show their appreciation--with class.

Kharma, beantown fans, kharma...

Yeah!!!! 22 years was too long to wait.

UBUNTU!!!

Don't bag the team, they proved their strength, and had Doc Rivers, someone who I think deserves coach of the year. He outdid Jackson, making the right adjustments and countering everything the Lakers had. Give them their due, they had the best record, and closed out the series on strength.

I hope they repeat their trip to the finals next year. I really do. The Lakers will be waiting for them, and payback will be sweet.

So it was ok for Laker fans to chant "DWI DWI" when Carmelo Anthony went to the line for Denver ??
Lakers lost to a better team, & ko-bee the rapist will have to wait until "next time"............

Most all fans EVERYWHERE are like that, especially after some brew.

But the ugly truth is the Celtics crushed the Lakers like they were from Saint Marys womens college last night. It was the greatest margin of victory EVER in the finals wasn't it?

I don't like the Lakers or Celtics and don't watch the NBA until the Finals but that was a spankity spank spank.

Da Bulls beat the Jazz by 42 in Game 3 back in '98 (I only know that since it was in the paper this morning).

Boston Celtics...isn't that racist? ;-) The least they could do is pronounce it correctly, fer chrissakes!

I'm happy for all my relatives/friends/Sambanistas in Massatushitts.

So would Beat la have been better??? your just sour that the lakers got schooled last night. that was a bad beat. after the first period your boy Mr. Bryant should have just gone home. celtics played as ateam all seaon. not as one superstar and his minions. I am sick of everyone giving boston a hard time. celts... red sox... patriots... all play as ateam. thats why we win. as far as a young laker team... the celts have their starting five for the next two years minimum.

Yes, "Beat LA" is a chant for your own team to win; nothing wrong with that. "Na na na goodbye" is a chant directed at the opposing team, a low class move when you are up by 30 points. Like I said, nothing worse than a sore loser, except a sore winner.

Calling a black player "boy" isn't exactly a class move, either, my friend.

And I am not just sour about my Lakers losing. I congratulated the better play and coaching of the Celts.

Kobe still gets booed every time he steps foot on a Denver court.

Celtics were certainly better this year. It was a full-moon last night and the power was with them. When I saw Kobe smirk after his first three-point basket, I knew they were gunna lose.

FUGGIT THEY GET PAID TOO MUCH ANYWAY!! CELTICS ARE LAME THOUGH AND NEXT YEAR WILL BE A DIFFERENT STORY.

Yeah, sure, a "term of endearment" from a "fan" like you?

BiggRich Wed Jun 18, 2008 1:15 pm

I love the Lakers, but they got it handed to them last night.

I'm glad K.G. got a ring, been liking dude since he came into the league.

Gasol was soft inside and Odom only showed up for a half in game 4!!

only 2 months till football season :D

Can we finally stop the comparisons between MJ and Kobe now please??

Nothing from Kobe, he's an incredibly skilled player, but he's not even close to Jordan. Jordan never killed his teammates publicly the way that Kobe does, and his teams never gave up a 24 point lead at home in the playoffs.

In fact, IMO Kobe isn't even the best Laker player ever - that's reserved for Magic.

Dead on ,man. Magic had way more skills.
Kobe is the best player in the game, he just got smacked by the best
team in the NBA.

You ever watch PTI on ESPN ?? Both Balck & White hosts call players of any color " Ya Boy" as in "Tony, Ya Boy T.O. was a no show at camp yesterday" No racial crap implied......

Now back to our regular programing
