Hi,
My motor started making a knocking noise today took the belts of the judson and could turn the pulley left to right and it sounds like something has broken inside any ideas what it could be? and who is best to help rebuild or supply parts?

Sounds to me like there something very wrong with you rotor, you will have to open it for further inspection.

One of the vanes probably cracked or broke somehow? George rebuilt mine for me and it looks great, he can supply parts and/or rebuild for you! Good luck!

Every time someone asks about a noisy Judson I post this picture:



It shows what you're likely to find if you have a Judson that rattles. The red line is the perfect as new rotor slot profile. You can easily see the wear on the rotor.

If your rotor looks like this...you need a new one. Ricardo in Argentina can supply one:

I'm just curious...how does wear like that happen? That doesnt seem like something that would wear like that?

It's caused by friction from the sliding of the vanes. The original rotors were cast alloy and not very hard wearing.
