I believe that car is owned by the Needman'S (SP?) the other twins.. Yes it is a fake and they do not hide it. Got a brief story of it a few years back and it was one of those "why not" deals. They have had it out for a few years now.

How about that. I remember when the late (great) Jerry Kelly used to drive "The Shrimp" to VW shows back in the '80s--pretty cool to see that it's still around.

The Needhams have also been on the VW scene for a long, long time--they're good people.

I do remember seeing that. Pretty cool actually, I can tell the owner had fun with it and some historical references on KDF cars. Not sure why it has a roll cage, unless tha tis what was in it when he started the project.

Like the old radio equipment...
