I have searched the forums and also went over the wolfsburg west color charts with no luck. The ww charts are somewhat incomplete and many leatherette options are not listed. Was grey with ivory piping upholstery available as a stock option for any of the '56 paint codes? L41 Black perhaps or others? Or was it not offered in '56? Thanks

I think grey is for Coral Red cars.

Thanks killerwatt. Can any of the gurus out there shed some light on a definitive answer?

Yes, the Light Grey was only an option on the Coral Red cars, and the piping was also Light Grey. |

The piping on my ex-Sept '56-built, Coral Red/Light Gray, US-spec '57 appeared white. It's possible the piping was originally a very light shade of gray, much like the baby blue piping found on the '56-'57 blue interiors.
