I tested this one out yesterday, it rode real nice, but I wanted more of the road bike feel...
I ended up getting the Cannondale Synapse 7.
It has the Tiagra shifters and rear derailers, they changed out the front derailer and crank to a Tiagra for me as well. I got a really good price in my price range, I feel I got more bike for my money. The store I bought it from was having a huge 40th Anniversary sale, so that helped a lot.
I really liked how it road and shifted.
It didn't have the carbon seat stays but it almost road like it did.
It has a higher geometry so it doesn't feel like I'm riding downhill all the time...
The shop I bought it from has a in-store warranty at all of their locations (http://mikesbikes.com/), all tune-ups, wheel truing, bearing adjustments, labor to replace a tire, tube, brake pads, chain, cables, and brake and derailleur adjustments are free for the next 5 years...
So I'm stoked...
I just have a few items to pick up, like a more comfortable seat and a few other things...
thanks for all the suggestions and info, it really helped...
Did a 9 mile ride last night and am ready to go for more! |
