| Unless the negatives are reversed, it's not a RHD. |

Yeh, its not a 23 its a Barndoor!!!!
51 Split Vert
58 Ghia Vert
Barndoor
51 Split Rag
and on and on and on
That was my point on the car. It is not an OG RHD, but a RHD pan and all the parts needed to convert it. |

99% of the parts are there and original to the car.

The car is complete, but has been patched from old rust areas. It currently has a 51 RHD pan, but the OG engine trans and front beam. I have a 51 LHD pan as well.
The owner has all the parts necessary to make it a RHD, but the question is should it be converted and is it worth the money since it has been patched.
I think most people agree it appears to be worth the money, but it should be left as a LHD.
Am I on track?? Thanks for all the advice... |

Yeh, he's not interested in selling the vert or the barndoor.
But, I did find a very nice 55 Oval Vert. Will be getting some pictures of that soon too. |

| I thought that the only pre 52 RHDs were from Ireland, (although i think that south africa may have started in 1951). The numbers produced in Ireland were very small and the number of surviving cars is miniscule so if thats an original RHD 1951 pan thats got to be pretty damn rare. |

It has been sitting for ~12 years with the exception of the two weeks I had it running untill one of the rebuilt heads failed. It belonged to a british army officer who moved to the American midwest to become a farmer. I bought it off of a guy in Puget sound Washington area. Had it running for a few years when I was in the Navy and just afterwards then I overheated it cracked the heads.

| Thanks. Shure miss driving it. When I put it on the road every cop for the next three counties stoped me to check it out. Most had never seen semaphores. I redid the canvas top and had it painted black, use to be peesoup army green. It is a late 1951. |

| I'm surprised people would pay that much for this car. $12k unless it has a birth certificate that says it’s a genuine rag top and RHD car I would pass. Plus who knows what is hiding under that green paint. |
