Take the $4,000 and put it away and be ready to jump when the "right" car is advertised here. Be patient and good things will come.

Im sure its all f'd up.... put your 4000.00 into something you wont be removing rivets and fibreglass from.

Dang, thats a sweet ride right there, thats one way to avoid rubbing the fenders, put on tiny tires and cycle fenders!

That car would have one of those crying dolls, laying up against the front hood at a car show,,,,

The car requires a lot of work but if you want to save the car and have the money to burn. It would be a nice gesture to the Volkswagen community to save this car. Judging by the photos it can never become original but with a lot of work you could make a sweet daily driver. But you do say “price range” and saying that means that this is not the car for you will not get your money back from restoring this car. Do look for a better one.

I think you can get Snorklestang for a couple grand less. In fact, I think it is in your neck of the woods. Look for the dumpy looking house with the blue tarp in the yard...

(PS: forget that thing, save your $$ and buy a real oval)

Wow, it's sitting on those huge tires and is powered by a N/A 1641.
