How hard is it to put the fiberglass fender flares on a 914? Also, what rim options do i have for the car as well with the flares on the car?

It's not too difficult to attached fiberglass flares to the 914, the new adhesives for plastic and fiberglass body sections make it pretty easy. You'll need to go to a jobber rather than the local auto parts store to get them. Prep the fender metal correctly, secure the flare while the adhesive is curing and finish with a quality reinforced filler, followed with a fine scratch filler, sealer, primer and paint. Kinda standard procedure. Be warned though, there is a lot of stress placed on the fenders since they support the suspension on these cars, so cracking may occur later on.
That said . . . (there's always a BUT, isn't there?)
You ought to visit: http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php
And check out the common wisdom concerning these sweet little cars. There's an expected and long overdue jump in value and collectiblity with this forgotten Porsche. Irreversible body modifications are kind of a thing of the past.
In the same way that most 356 Outlaws can be returned to "stock" should a sale be necessary, tasteful but reversible changes to the 914 are more the norm now.
Of course, your choice. I LOVE the look.
Wheel choice is a complex combination of back spacing, wheel width, hub center thickness, and style. Couple this with tire width and it's a LOT of homework and standard formulas so don't jump too early. Ask the regular 914 crowd and just try to find a car with the look that you're after and use those specs as your guide.
Luck ! !

Where can i buy 8 inch fuchs? I thought the front fender flares were for 7 inch wide rims and the rear flares would fit a 9 inch wide rim.

Is there any cutting of the body in order to get the wider rims and tires on the car?
