| Interested in confirming that a '68 Bug originally painted Zenith Blue would have come from the factory with wheel discs (described as the center part of the wheel) painted grey-black and outer rims painted Cumulus White. Also were white walls standard or available? Is there a formula for L-43 grey-black? We use PPG in our shop, but will consider using any brand of material for which a good formula is available. Thank You! |

My copy of Car of the Century shows those colors - L680 Cumulis White for wheel outer rim, and LD43 Gray Black for inner hubs. (with the LD meaning dull gloss) This is for a sedan, by the way. Convertibles were solid LD43 inner and outer, as they came with standard trim rings covering the wheel.
Can't help you with a mixing formula though.
