getten the floor done z-bed and cabs next week!!!
hopefully installing my cht gauge as well as bus depot took over a week to process my order and by the time they did i was broke and it was declined, gotta wait for the cash to order the gauge holder!! mother f'ers!
actually a question with that if you pay with debit on line it should be instantaneous right? or do i have to wait for joe-blow to get around to punching it in another system?
not really that upset just would like to know for future ref.
anyways a few more trim pieces and a little touch up here and there z-ved and cabs i should be done feels good to be on the down hill slide now,
well that`s until i decide to start ripping @ her heart and such ;-)
oh well, take it easy all and have a good day/night!!

They might put a hold on your card at the time of order but they can't actually charge it until the product ships. |

yea i was tring to figure out what was going on with that, i thought it was automatic and guess i must have spent the money before they actually charged that card, bummer have to wait untill next week to order all of that other stuff, i`m thinking that i may pick up a single guage mount for the one guage that i have now just to get moving on it, we`ll see though!
thanks for following along and confirming my thoughts ;-) cheers! |

just picked up the nkg spark plugs,VDO pressure gauge, some 25 amp fuses,
and one of those plastic things you feed your cords through on your work desk, they have one at staples that is the same i.d. as the vdo gauge and it should give the bezel a more beefed up look! i will post photo`s when i get home today of what this looks like,
i have my DD cht gauge mounted in the dash and the ground wire stripped and lugged attached to chassis and getting ready to feed the probe wire through if i could only find the hole!!! oh well this all i have for now will update again later tonight! |

theizzardking wrote: hey thanks for that one man! just welded in some more plates on the usb floor behind the folding bed as i had 2 huge holes there , as far as teh great stuff goes yea i`m going to cut alot of that out if there, i know the whole "it`s your bus thing" but still if i`m doing something stupid i`d like to be told about it as opposed to "pretending" to know what i`m doing here, i`m real jr. engineer and my skills have been described as sophomoric, or just good enough to be really dangerous he he , but thanks good call on that, in my thread please feel free to speak up if you notice me going about things all wrong , i want my bus to be nice and i plan on owning it for the next 20-30yrs at least of course it`ll be going through many revisions between now and then but using great stuff and doing something that will cause it to rust out would make that a pipe dream, pretty much please help me to keep from ruining it, other than that i think i should be good to go!!!!!!!!!!!! liked your fat chick thread as well man!! i need to pop some battery trays ion mine as well! oh well take care and good night all will update tomorrow!
Thanks for the props man. I hope to keep my bus for awhile too. Seeings how I'll have done so much to it once I get it done one of these days. The floor looks good. Keep up the good work and you'll be rolling before ya know it. 8) |

just some info i need
posted by calebmelvin:
Put the filter outside the engine bay, just behind the rear tin along side the tranny. Slide under the bus and look for the fuel line that runs from the tank to the hole in the rear tin. Clamp it and cut a chunk out. Then install the filter there. Next put a solid piece of hose from your fuel pump up to the carb. Finish it off by clamping down all connections with fuel line clamps, not the worm drive kind. |

yea that's 2.5 buses i've yet to get the other one from caleb i was moving stuff in the garage today and threw my back out trying to make room for it.
so i still need to get that guy here soon, yea that bus didn't do bad i paid the guy $300 bucks abd drove it 60 miles home on the freeway, i had some wobbles @ 50 or so but for the most part it was good! hey are these camper tops interchangeable? or can i @ least use the bed from the white guy?
i'm actually going to try and re sell it with the motor and tranny to some one who wants a cheap bus to cruise in. trying to recoupe the money i spent on it.
i want to devote my time to the '71 and this one
