Was just watching an episode of Two Guys Garage. They were talking about a system called Counter Rust. It sends a low level electric charge thru all metal areas in your vehicle to prevent rust. Even in those hard to reach places where sometimes paint wont go.
Some ads on there web site said as long as parts are connected by metal to metal contact the devise can be place on the front firewall and work all the way to your headers.
Anyone ever heard of this product or had any experience with it and what kind of results.

This is somewhat similar to cathodic protection. From what I have read, it is virtually impossible to do an entire car. Yes in theory you could cathodically protect small areas of the car but would need a lot of power to do the whole car.
I've even seen claims of using a magnesium bar attached to the metal to protect it. The car would have to be buried for this to work. |
