Saw the ad for the Rose City Bug In in the August Hot VWs... Although I know generally when the gates open and where the event is held at as I've attended a number of times over the years, I can't help but wonder what the promoter was thinking by not including a web site, date or time for the event in the advertisement. The name and date of the evnet and the address of the track is there, but no times, no admission charges and no exit numbers for the track, as well as no phone numbers for the promoter.

Seems to be kind of a waste of advertising dollars to run something that vague in the magazine, unless they're just banking on veteran attendees showing up?

It's good the information is available, but my only point is that's info that should have been in the ad itself, unless they're only marketing the show to those that are already aware of the show.

Naw, man, wish I could, but I've got to work this weekend. Not that there's much to cover, but we alternate weekends, the other reporter and I. VW shows are getting harder and harder for me to attend these days.

They could have advertised it a bit better. It was my first Bug in so I was not sure what to expect. I had a good time and will do it again next year!
