I would like to slam the front end of my 69' Ghia. I am currently running BRMs with 135 Smart Car Tyres. I am intending to get an ajustable beam and drop spindles. The drop spindles will mean I gain 1/2" track but the BRMs throw the offfset out.
What I would like to know is will a 2" narrowed beam be enough to give me the wheel turn clearence I will need or do I need to go narrower??
As always the advice of you Samba gods is v much appeciated[list] |

Are you running the 4 or 5 lug BRM's? I narrowed my beam 3". I have the CB dropped disc brake spindles with the 4 to 5 adapters and the Eagle Alloy 5 spokes on 195 55's and with all that it looks stock. No rubbing and it works perfect.

I'm running 5 Lugg BRM's + was just a little concerned that anything more than 2" would have an adverse effect on the turning circle ??

Are you currently using adapters or have you converted to a 5 lug drum or disc? Adapters will ad to your offset.

Just do 3-4" to be safe. Your steering will be fine.
