| The 81 VW pickup I have has no VIN# plate on dash(no title) The sticker on the door frame is discolored and faded. Is there any other place on the vehicle where the VIN could be? |

| The only other place it may be, but I'm not totally positive, is in the cowl area. Open the hood and take the rain tray out and look around there. If there isn't any I'm sure you could get a vin tag of another pickup and get the title for that. |

| yes, its usually stamped under the black plastic thats in the rain tray under the hood. and i know in GTi's there was also a sticker with the vin near the spare tire well. im not sure where that would be on a pick up, but check the rain tray first. |

Yeah, check the cowl. But that VIN will probably have Z's, or blanks, in it. You can also check the inner fenders, there might be a sticker there (covered with grime). Maybe this website can help. Good luck. http://www.abvwc.org.uk/vw_vin.htm |
