| What I do is go to the local paint store and look thru their books until I find something that trips my trigger. Given the size of a bus two tone is best I think with the lighter color on top. Beltline is an good place to break the colors. I like to stay away from the basic colors. Ivory is a good color for the top (I think). |

Paint the ambo black, call it a hearse.
But seriously though, I go through this every time I restore a vehicle, and ultimately end up with the factory orig color, maybe others are braver than I...
You're 12 years old and you're struggling with these questions? You Rock!! |

Do look in the gallery but also go to the paint store and check out what they have to offer. I spent nearly an hour looking a color books before I settled on mine. Yes, it is Chebbie "tan" but I wanted to be different. With my luck though, sure enough that shortly thereafter I saw another bus with the same color combo! :x
At least it was a deluxe and more yellow than tan but what can I do?
Good luck on your pick! 8) |

i went for the darker(orange) on top with my gulf petrol paint kombi. i know its normal for the lighter, less striking on top but i think mine looks just right and would have look pap the other way round.
go to the paint store and spend a lot of time with the busselecta.com to try out the basic combos then elaborate for the specific shades you want.
keep away from metallic tho, it always looks like arse  |

I think regurgitate is the PC term. And I don't think it'd make a nice color for a bus... |

your defiently lucky to have been given your first buses. good to see you are learning how to work on your buses at age 12.
post some pics of your buses, they may not need to be painted. if you do decide to paint i would go with the original colors, at the very least pick a color that is correct for your paticular year and model bus. |
