I've got a KG I bought sight unseen off ebay a while back. Got a fair price I think, can't complain. Anyways the guy tells me the pan had been fiberglassed for repair. I figured it wouldn't be a problem, cut out both pan halves and replace them.

Little did I know when he said fiberglassed, he meant FIBERGLASSED! and fiberglassed to the body.

So my question is to those that have done media blasting, do you think I could have it blasted as is? I really don't want to sand off all that fiberglass and was planning to have only the body blasted. Do I have to remove the motor to have it blasted? Tranny?, brakes?, fittings?, how much has to be removed to have it blasted?

The best thing to do would be to strip everything off the car, especially pull the motor/trans, all your brakes. You don't want any of that to get ruined from the blasting. Post some pics after you get it done!! :)
