Just figured I would ask. I just got hired to more or less rebuild a resort lodge place in Hamilton and wondered if there was anyone or anything in Montana. Have yet to leave Oregon, but sposed to be there around the first of June, taking my SC with me, heh. I will be the only VW there, everyone else will be Mercedes and Limo's I think...I gotta show them some class, haha.

Well, thanks.

Haven't been there in years, but when I worked for Yellowstone Park in Gardiner, thre was a junkyard just north of Livingston, in a town called White Sulphur Springs, that had a few old Type 1's and 2's. By old I mean Ovals, and ribbed bumper type 2's. Most of them appeared to be in reasonably good shape, used to get parts for my '67 Deluxe hardtop there.

Hi Jax. We have a family home in Hamiltonm MT. My folks are there now. My family lives in Monterey County, CA. I go up there 2-3 times a year. Sometimes I have the 65 velvet green walkthrough westy for campouts. I go to Missoula, 40 miles up north, to get parts and stuff. It's a college town and there are plenty of t2's around there. I see a number of buses in the Bitteroot Valley in summer and winter. Stay in touch.

Sweet, well I am an easy one to see. Green and Black 1958 Single Cab with Oregon plates. Looks like I will be around there with the truck about the first of June. Oh and will be working and residing at the Lost Horse Creek Lodge, where ever that is up there. the addy says Hamilton so up there somewhere, heh.
At least now I know parts are able to be gotten up there in Missoula, that was what I was hoping for. Sounds like I am better off that I thought I might be, we shall see. Have to get myself ready for my initial trip up there on Tuesday to look around and see what I need. I will do my best to keep in touch Richard, and thanks.

kafer, I will definitely have to check out that yard if it is still there, I could use a few things, definitely. and thanks

Hey Jax, I live in Helena, M.T. We are definatley a minority but, we're here.
If there's a better place to own a Westy I don't know where it would be. I lived in Missoula for several years and spent a lot of time in N.Idaho at some remote Hotsprings that would blow your mind. Drop me a line and I'll give up a few sweet spots for you to check out this Summer. If you see a white westy or Ghia convertible in helena that's me.
