If a car color was used untill the late '50s and i have a '65 vert
is it a bad idea for me to use that type of color?
Do i need to use a color that was originally used during my year?
Thanks,

using an original color for the year of your car will definitly add value to it...
especialy if it is the original color of your car
However, if you really like the color and don't plan on making it a "show car"...
Why not? |

HI,
How stock is your vert? IF its bone stock and in good shape by all means paint it an appropriate year proper vert color. It will only enhance the value of the car.
HOWEVER.......
IF it is lowered and modified and nowhere near stock, paint it to suit your fancy.
Then again, bottom line..... its your car, do to it as you wish. We will not all agree it is the best thing but it not OUR car.

it really isn't stock at all.
It was chopped four inches of the top
it has narrowed beams,
and it was also a right hand drive conversion
so thats why it doesnt have any stock value |
