I have a 67 Kombi. The side door (cargo) rattles when it I run over a bump (it's stock height). How can I fix/remove this?

The seals are OG and seem 'decent'. What else can I look at?

Are all of the bolts in the doors? Are they all tight? Might need to just adjust the doors around a bit?

Mine rattled like crazy until I replaced the weatherstrips.

Look at the rear cargo door strike. If it's worn down you can put washers under it to make it more inward or buy a fresh one.

Well, I was going to suggest the seals, but if yours seem decent, check all the bolts and screws.

Brand new seals do wonders for eliminating rattles.

I forgot to mention that before I replaced mine, my original seals "looked" fine, too.

start by finding your problem shake rattle and bang on your doors till you figure out where the noise is coming from.

It's rattling from this area (not my bus, just a quick pic I found), underneath the actual 'latch'-slidey part (technical huh?). When I hit a bump, this latch part moves up and down and it goes clack clack klak on wherever it slides onto...

loose rod most likely, dig in further you have the technique now pinpoint rattle and fix

Worn hinge pins. Worn striker. Worn check rods. Old shrunken seals.

Used too much when new :)
