Hello-
I was reading "How to Hot Rod Volkswagen Engines" and noticed an interesting passage. Removing the screen from your oil cooler "reduces fan resistance and gives more HP, as well as improving cooling-air flow to cylinders 3 and 4." This sounds good to me. Has anyone tried it?

| my dome top coolers don't have a screen, I've always noticed that the domed top seems to be part of the air flow system inside matching better with the internal airfoils than the flat tops with screen? |
