i just got do rebuilding my motor.
new rods
new bearings
new pistons and cylinders
and now I'm getting a vibration when i rev the motor. i put the urethane trans mount because they work great in my bug.
i think it may be
the trans mounts?
one of the pressure plate bolts is different the all the others that i put on.
i big fan had a little play in the center peace but was fine before rebuild.
the cabs not balanced.
the rods? |

Could be any of the things you mentioned.
Were the rods balanced before you installed them?
How different was the bolt? That bit of mass spinning at that radius could throw it off.
I would check the regular tune-up stuff (valves, spark plugs) first because a miss in one cylinder could do this, and you'd feel it a little more with the urethane mounts, too. |

i can feel it more with the new trans mounts.
they told me the rod where matching weight.
but when driving it is very smooth. |

| Speaking of vibration. i have a 1969 T3 with IRS, is there a mount that holds the tranny up other than where the tailshaft mounts to the car, or is it only held up by the crossbar on the engine. I also need to find new motor mounts. any help would be great. |

| Check your tin and I would double check your fan bolt also if you have slight vibration. That is what I found mine had, once I adjusted the fan it all went away. |
