Hello-
I've been researching oil coolers for the Okrasa engine (2 piece VW case, Porsche crank & rods, 77mm pistons) I'm building. On the one hand, I'm tempted to spend the money to buy of the light, efficient, and expensive aluminum coolers from NLA. On the other, I've read more than one comment (Jake Raby, Gene Berg, etc. ) where people actually made their cooling situation worse by installing non stock oil coolers. Comments anyone?
Thanks,
Paul |

The NLA cooler is very effective. I have made some using the same concept for my engines by starting with an intercooler core.
I'd recommend running the stock cooler first and then upgrade if necessary. In my experience 36 HP based engines don't have oil temp issues very often, even with added performance. |

This engine your talking about building,, if I where going thist reoute I would just go doghouse ..
Back in the day when all we had was 36 and 40 hp preformance parts,, the only answer was to go witha 356 cooler . |
